Building TX
The former machine factory
The existing Building TX on Strijp-T in Eindhoven (built in 1956-1957) is the former machine factory of Philips and supplied the machines for the production of, among other things, televisions and X-ray equipment. With a length of 270 meters and a width of 67.5 meters, it is the longest factory ever built by Philips. This building will be completely transformed into a modern multi-user business building, where the architectural value of the existing building and its surroundings will form the basis for this redevelopment.
The outer shell will be fully insulated in accordance with the principles prescribed in the nationally applicable building regulations. In addition, the technical installations will be completely replaced by modern, new, and high-quality, energy-efficient installations.
The building will be fully insulated and equipped with modern new high-quality energy-efficient installations, delivered with an energy label A and will have a Green Declaration from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management upon completion.
Building TX is the next building we are going to redevelop from mid-2023 to be completed by mid-2025. The existing hall will be transformed with respect for its history, then divided into multiple industrial halls. Additionally, the building will have a spacious walkway so that it is easily accessible all around, creating a central cozy square. On top of the existing hall, three office towers of 5 floors will soon rise.
